This Tuscan town in the province of Siena, situated on a picturesque hill in the middle of three fantastic provinces Siena, Florence and Pisa, was among other things the place where is the famous movie by Franco Zeffirelli and John Mortimer, "A tea with Mussolini "a British-Italian production with actors like Maggie Smith, Cher, Lily Tomlin, Claudio Spadaro, Massimo Ghini and Joan Plowright a movie that has had a great success and records of audience in many countries of the world in 1999.
Speaking of San Gimignano records among the many things that you should mention about this unique and wonderful town has another Record, "Gelateria Dondoli" World Champion for the best ice cream in the years 2006,2007,2008 and 2009, winning the title four consecutive years with an ice cream,which is a masterpiece of taste,presentation and quality.
