Italian Hospitality – Isnart Survey | Positive Data in Summer with a Strong Contribution from International Visitors

It promises to be a very positive summer for Italian hospitality with even better data than 2023 and 2019. The scenario that confirms all this emerges from the survey led by Isnart, the National Institute of Tourism Research which reveals as for August 82% of available rooms have already been booked while for September reached 71%.

These figures are much more positive when compared to 2019 when five years ago the occupancy in July was 69%, 78% in August and 49% in September.

It is worth noting and underlying the growth of international flows with 19% of accommodation facilities reporting a surge in tourists from abroad.

The German market with 63% leads followed by those arriving from France 53% and Great Britain 44%.

Italian market is also doing pretty well, tourists who remain within national borders have increased in 16% of the accommodation involved in the analysis.

Finally as significant date it is worth highlighting the budget prospects and outlook for entrepreneurs. Making a quick forecast of booking figures and costs incurred, for 2024 55% of companies aim to break even by 2024 while 44% of hotels especially if located in Spa or seaside resorts expect to achieve operating profits.
