The Corriere Fiorentino, well known newspaper publisher from Florence, which places the Tuscan city among the top destinations for 4/5 star tourism, has reported that within a year Florence will be added more than thousand new rooms in luxury hotels.

The first step in this planning of investments, mostly from abroad concerns the Ruby Hotel located in Piazza della Libertà, accommodation owned by the German group Ruby Hotels based in Munich, honoured with the Special Award for his success and innovations in the hotel industry which opened three weeks ago providing 118 rooms, a 24-hour bar with meeting and work spaces.

By the end of the year it will be the turn of the W Hotel located in Piazza dell' Unita', former Hotel Majestic and part of the US group Marriott International which will provide 120 luxury rooms, including suites with floors to address young tourism.

In the same period of time, the former Collegio alle Querce should open in Via delle Forbici under the brand of Auberge Resorts Collection, American hotel group with offices in Mill Valley in California and Bethesda - Maryland, a group in considerable expansion that boasts various boutique hotels in its portfolio. The development will involve three adjacent sixteenth-century buildings including the former school, chapel and theater that will jointly house 82 rooms and suites.

The last opening of 2024 will be the Hoxton Hotel part of a British chain owned by Ennismore that will provide 161 rooms, a garden terrace and an underground space for events combining a modern building and one dating back to the 16th century for the development of the hotel structure.

At the beginning of 2025 in Viale Belfiore will open the Tsh part of a group founded by Scottish entrepreneur Charlie MacGregor with headquarter in Amsterdam - The Netherlands.

In the same year in Viale Righi in the former hostel of Villa Camerata will open the Baccarat Hotel linked to the famous Starwood Capital Group based in Miami – Florida should open. It will be the first hotel of the group in Italy providing 75 luxury rooms, Spa, two swimming pools, two restaurants and a large garden that will surround the building on the slopes of the hill of Fiesole.

Within a couple of years it will then be the turn of the hotel that will be built in Via San Gallo in the former Military Hospital.
