Air Serbia & Sabre | NDC Technology Supply Partnerships

Air Serbia the flag carrier of the Balkan country with its main hub in Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport formerly known as Jat Airways until it was renamed and rebranded in 2013 has developed a partnership with Sabre Corporation, well known travel technology company based in Southlake – Texas – US considered the largest global distribution systems provider for air bookings.

This partnership allows Sabre to become the airline's NDC IT provider, enabling Air Serbia not only to create its own NDC content, the XML – based data transmission standard launched by IATA, a data exchange format based on Offer and Order management processes for airlines to create and distribute relevant offers to the customer, but also to make it available seamlessly through third-party channels.

These solutions are based on the Sabre cloud, designed to be modular and agile which means that Air Serbia is able to add new functionality progressively as its NDC strategy evolves.

Air Serbia CEO Jiri Marek commented that as the airline takes action to further modernize its retail strategies, Air Serbia is delighted to partner with Sabre and is committed to providing real-time content with personalized customer experiences and Sabre’s innovative technology undoubtedly serves as a key enabler of the supply and ordering ecosystem.
