Aruba, splendid, exotic island, constituent country within the Kingdom of the Netherlands located in the south of the Caribbean Sea at just 29 kilometres north of the Venezuelan peninsula of Paraguaná will host from 07th to 13th October Autentico, the Aruba Culinary Festival.
This important gastronomic event will highlight the diversity that the Caribbean island will showcase with all its flavors, aromas and varieties as well as the presence of talented chefs.
The Festival offers a unique opportunity to explore and taste the rich variety of foods, discovering new restaurants, tasting different flavors and appreciating haute cuisine that reflects the culinary traditions and also the cultural diversity of this Caribbean country.
Aruba boasts more than a hundred nationalities in its territory, a country that despite its size is a very cosmopolitan island and this event will be a true celebration of cultural heritage with a great diversification of flavors that are part of Aruba's identity.
The Festival will represent and serve as a platform for the culinary sector to present its products, generate more local support and unite EPB and EPI culinary students with restaurants in a magnificent combination as well as positioning Aruba as an international culinary destination.
The Aruba Culinary Festival will take place in two stages, from 07th to 11th October the restaurants will be the protagonists with their participation will present their menus,special offers and unique appointments that will be published on the calendar of the events on the Autentico website.
From 12th to 13th October, the Food Weekend will be celebrated at the historic Wihelminastraat street in the heart of Oranjestad, an event that offers locals and international visitors a great opportunity to enjoy a variety of food and drinks at various booths that will showcase Aruba's gastronomy in all its essence and there will also be entertainment and competitions such as Bartender's Brawl and Iron Chef Aruba to liven up these two days.
The sixth edition of Bartender’s Brawl will take place on Saturday 12th October a special evet where several bartenders will compete to present original drinks.
On Sunday 13th October will be the day of the Iron Chef Aruba where three chefs will compete to prepare special dishes assisted by EPB and EPI cooking students.
In addition to all that the public will be able to enjoy a wide variety of restaurants that will present two of their dishes at an attractive price, while delighting in local musical talent of Wilhelminastraat.
