The municipality of Rome for the revitalization of its most iconic and emblematic sites in the artistic and urban planning field is embarking on notable improvements works in a two-year plan 2024 - 2025 with an investment of € 500.000.
Linked to all that the President of the Commission and Tourism of the Municipality of Rome, Mariano Angelucci declared that the commitment to the revival of the Italian capital continues to relaunch distinctive areas that boast a great history and tourist vocation.
In September an update will be made of the projects for the improvements works of Via Veneto one of the most iconic, elegant and expensive streets of Rome named after the Battle of Vittorio Veneto in 1918, artery that from Piazza Barberini leads to Porta Pinciana in the Ludovisi district and well known for being one of the emblematic places linked to the glamorous Dolce Vita in the eternal city.
Projects will also be developed for the pedestrian enlargement of the central Piazza Mignanelli, a well-known square with the homonymous ramp leading to Trinità de' Monti, which takes its name from Palazzo Mignanelli dominated by the towering Column of the Inmaculate Conception erected in 1857 at the behest of Pope Pius IX not far from the bustling Via Gregoriana.
Other operations will concern the pedestrian area, keeping the road system unchanged but improving the usability of the emblematic Piazza di Spagna, urban space of the eternal city at the foot of the iconic staircase that connects this square to Trinità de' Monti and at the intersections of Via dei Condotti, Via del Babuino and Via Borgognona.
In these plans of urban improvements, Via dei Due Macelli, historic street that covers a stretch of the ancient Via Paolina located between two important Roman arteries such as Via Sistina and Via del Tritone, a short distance from the Trevi Fountain, which has already been the subject of improvements, will not be touched.
The President of the Commission and Tourism of the Municipality of Rome then undelined that these works look to welcome both in the year of the Jubilee and to the future, representing an added value for all the citizens of Rome, for businesses and for tourists who are increasingly choosing the eternal city as one of their favorite destinations.
