Casona Roma Norte, a new stylish hotel officially opened its doors in Mexico City on 1st October, a new gem of the Mexican hospitality, an accommodation conceived and designed to offer guests memorable experiences in a lively, vibrant city, with a rich historic heritage and one of the most important cultural and financial centers in the world.
The Hotel is located in Calle Durango 280 in Colonia Roma also called simply Roma, a district located in the Cuauhtémoc borough of Mexico city just west of the city's historic centre, an iconic area rich in history, architecture, culture and art, just five minutes walking from Bazar el Oro.
The neighbourhood was awarded in 2011 as "Barrio Magico", Magic Neighbourhood is well known as the epicentre of the hipster subculture, as well as Colonia de Condesa and rivaling Polanco as the city's culinary hotspots.
The neighborhood streets are lined with trendy bars, restaurants, clubs, boutiques, cultural centres and galleries with old Art Nouveau and neoclassical buildings dating back to Porfiriato period.
The hotel located in a building of the 1920s provides 32, welcoming and stylish rooms with a modern design which immerse the guest in a very comfortable atmosphere, harmonizing with the captivating minimalist design of the décor with a blend of cosmopolitan, artsy, sophisticated personality but at the same time inspiring a unique sense of connection and calm.
The hotel designed as a cultural center totally shows its artistic essence, each room boasts photography from Santiago Arau, talented Mexican photographer and filmmaker well known primarily for his works with drones and the hallways are adorned with works by Mexico City artists including a dynamic mural.
Casona Roma Norte boasts six dining concepts curated by renowned Chef Aquila Chavez and author and restaurateur Claudio Poblete with a rooftop restaurant and featuring an elegant speakeasy-style bar.
