MGM Resorts International, well known American hospitality and entertainment company founded in 1986, headquartered in Las Vegas – Nevada - U.S. featuring unique hotels and casinos worldwide, world - class shows, dynamic meeting spaces, dining and nighlife in collaboration with Marriott International, renowned multinational company based in Bethesda - Maryland – U.S. group that operates franchises and licences lodging brands that include a large variety of hotels, timeshare properties and residential have announced plans to convert the iconic Delano Las Vegas into W Las Vegas by the end of 2024.
Delano Las Vegas located directly on the south end of the Las Vegas Strip set in an upscale 43 – story tower, an understated all – suite retreat just steps away from the action and amenities of an expansive 120 – acre Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino and part of this complex will remain open during the conversion process and more details will be announced at a later date.
This joint operation between the two hotel groups builds on an existing agreement launched in 2023 with MGM Collection, which manages the accommodation with Marriott Bonvoy Platform, with a partnership that allows the 17 MGM Resorts International hotels bookable in Marriott International's digital channels and the alignment also with regard to the loyalty programs of the companies, guaranteeing members benefits across both networks.
W Hotels is an American hotel chain founded in 1998 by Starwood Hotels and Resorts now owned by Marriott International which operates upscale hotels and long - stay apartments characterized by contemporary luxury, iconic design and sophistication set the stage for memorable experiences in vibrant destinations around the world.
Following the rebranding, the future W Las Vegas will join the MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy alongside other resorts on the Las Vegas strip, such as Aria Resort & Casino, Autograph Collection, Bellagio, a Luxury Collecion Resort & Casino, Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Autograph Collection and Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, MGM Collection.
