The Argentine Chamber of Medical Tourism also underlined that the Latin American country has been able to consolidate itself as a regional reference point in the health sector by highlighting accredited qualities as well as a wide range of avant - garde technological equipment and a high level of its professionals in the medical and health area.
In terms of statistics with regard to the patients who come to Argentina for medical care, treatments or cosmetic surgery, 75% come from neighboring countries such as Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay and Peru although a good number also comes from Central America and the United States of America.
