Venezuela, country on the northern coast of South America, located just north of the equator, considered one of the most ecologically diverse countries in the world, a land boasting a very high biodiversity and occupying the seventh place in the globe list of nations with the highest number of species, highlighted furthermore by its very attractive Caribbean coast and tropical resort islands, dramatic landscapes in the Andes territory trough the Minister of Tourism Leticia Gómez signed two agreements on tourism cooperation with Cuba and Nicaragua.
Each memorandum of understanding and cooperation agreement was signed within the framework of the last VI Meeting and High Authorities of Tourism of ALBA TCP, formally the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – People's treaty, an intergovernmental organization based in the idea of political and economic integration of Latin American and Caribbean countries which was held at the International Tourism Fair of Venezuela, in the state of Tachira in the western part of the country crossed by the Andes mountains.
Venezuela and Nicaragua, strengthen with this
agreement the ties that link both countries in terms of tourism, as an economic
activity for the benefit of the peoples and the same happened with Cuba, with a
memorandum of understanding promoting new forms of economic development
relations based on tourist activities.
In this way the Venezuelan Minister Leticia Gómez wanted to highlight that the ALBA – TCP is the propitious scenario to strengthen the union and the cooperation among the the three nations with tourism as a fundamental element in this process.
