The merger between Atout France, the Tourism Development official government Agency, the organisation whose mission is promoting France as a tourism destination and Business France, a public consulting firm that supports the international development of the French economy by supporting businesses in their international development and enhancing the country's attractiveness to international investors ruled out according to the declaration of the French Minister Nathalie Delattre who informed that there will be not merge with Business France with Atout France that will concentrate more resources and focusing in to be more aggressive in international markets.
The initiative of the potential merger was launched last October by former Prime Minister Michel Barnier who announced his intention to unifity Business France and Atout France.
The Minister declared that, Atout France, the national tourism promotion operator, a public – private partnership, noting that its members contribute €30.0 million today, and surely more tomorrow, to co -build this policy of attractiveness for the sector.
Therefore, it is not only an effort od the State, but also an effort of the sector, which is involved and its aim is to lead a debate on the reform of Atout France to strengthen its effectiveness in a context of strong international competition.
Under his leadership, an audit mission will be launched shortly to study possible synergies between Atout France and Business France.
