Pinterest | Highlighting Trough an Analytical Study the Most Popular Travel Destinations of 2025

 Pinterest, famous American social media service for publishing and discovery of information in the form of pinboards using image sharing founded in 2009 in San Francisco and based in Palo Alto, California trough an analytical study in collaboration with luxury travel experts at Kuoni Travel, Swiss tourism company, operating various services based in Zurich, has revealed the countries that appears more frequently on the 2025 travel vision in its pinboards highlighting the most popular destinations for this year. 

 Pinterest as a search engine that allows users to share images, videos and photographs organizing these contents into categories of interest, the so - called noticeboards, at the start of the new year represents a source to make resolutions and set goals, a platform where many explorers flock to create their vision boards with a collection of inspirational images, and quote related to their to - do list.

 The platform saw a massive influx of travel – researches during January 2025, and its UK trends data showed that Greece, Italy and Thailand are currently among the most popular countries pinned or searched as people look to create their mood boards for the year ahead.

Kuoni Travel as an expert in luxury vacations in Thailand but also specialist in packages holidays, hotels, resorts, cruise lines, airlines and tailor made products in destinations around the world encourages travellers who want to visit this stunning tropical South East Asian country to book their trips as far in advance as possible.

 With Thailand ranking high on the 2025 vision boards and the new season of White Lotus, set in Koh Samui, second largest island of the country in the Gulf of Thailand off the east coast of the Kra Isthmus, airing in February, they anticipated a surge in booking and a spike in popularity for the rest of the year.

Other countries that are about to experience a great year for tourism apart the aforementioned Greece are France and Mexico, which are among the three most popular destinations on the vision boards of Pinterest and linked to that was established a ranking and this the top 10

The study analysed more than 20.000 Pinterest boards and revealed this ranking list about the most popular countries for which people are creating vision boards this year, European countries account for just over half of the most popular destinations for image viewing, and Spain, Italy, Ireland and Portugal confirm this detail in the ranking.

 Asia is the next most represented continent with Thailand, Japan and Bali occupying another three spots in the top ten, America is present with Mexico rounding out the the top three amnd just outside the 10 favourite destinations Scotland is 11th  and the United States of America occupies the 12th place.

 The CEO of Kuoni Travel Mark Duguid said that it is well known that, at the turn of the year, people always start making plans and booking their trips and adventures.The Kuoni Travel UK customer data shows that Sri Lanka and the Maldives will be luxury destinations by 2025, but the company was curious to see what global travel trends emerged by looking at Pinterest display boards.

 It's fantastic to see that some destinations appearing in the ranking drawn by Pinterest are main products of Kuoni Travel, such as Thailand and Bali, are among the top favourite destinations in the world on the display boards, and it’s wonderful to see that Europe is also well represented.
