The Mexican State of Sonora has developed an action to enhance the tourism promotion of the territory to increase incoming flows with specific plans in conjunction with the XXX Edition of the National Congress of the Meeting Industry for the professionalization and competitiveness of the actors involved.
The congress was organized to bring together all the protagonists who will give impetus to the strengthening actions and functioned as a useful space to cope with relevant and trendy needs for the sector with an exchange of views, knowledge, networking, business generated, promotion of destinations among the different actors that make up this value chain.
The congress brought together about 600 professionals including Convention and Visitors Bureaus, Tourism Secretaries, Meeting Planners, Travel Agents, Media who will jointly participate in the promotion of local tourism to give a boost to a successful promotion.
The Secretary of Tourism of Sonora stated that events of this kind are constructive and provide an ideal environment to further strengthen the promotion of Sonora with the participation of companies and institutions related to this sector.
Following the instructions of the Governor of the state, focused steps will be taken to position Hermosillo and the entire state of Sonora as a reference point in the meeting industry of Mexico and the world to attract incoming tourism and consequently benefit the local economy and families.
