Embratur | Model to Promote Tourism in Brazil with New Strategies

Embratur's Director of International Marketing, Business and Sustainability, the Brazilian Tourist Board, federal, state – owned agency reporting to the Brazilian Ministry of Tourism Bruno Reis believes that the agency should be the main organizational model for the tourism promotion of Brazilian destinations.

Embratur needs to experiment with a management model that guides the commercial decisions of diversified national destinations seeking to attract travelers.

To achieve this fundamental goal, the agency must go beyond the work done internally and look for examples of success inyo international tourism promotion.

At the time the Director argued that the role of Embratur must go beyond internal actions and must represent an important and reference role in the promotion of successful cases in international promotion that can be replicated from national destinations.

Bruno Reis, who participated in the launch of the new brand of the São Paulo Tourism Promotion Board,  also emphasized the importance of aligning business strategies between the B2B and B2C segments, inspired by models of destinations that have been able to achieve optimal results with these effective strategies.

The Director then underlined the importance of integrating different sectors and entities to strengthen tourism in the country, commenting that these organizations are fundamental but if there are no resources, theory alone is not enough.
