Panama | ATP and AMUPA Will Strengthen the Country's Tourist Offer

 

ATP, the Panama Tourism Authority, entity of the Government of the Central American country that works to promote tourism sector, one's of the country's economic pillars and responsible for promoting Panama as a tourist destination, held a meeting with AMUPA, the Association of Panama Municipalities to plan strategies and concrete actions to improve the tourist offer in the various regions of the country.

The celebration of this meeting demonstrates and manifests the commitment of the two institutions to work together to promote tourism as an engine of economic and social development in every corner of the national territory.

Key topics such as promoting lesser-known destinations, developing tourism programs and training customer service to provide further enhanced visitor experiences were addressed at this meeting.

The Association of Panamanian Municipalities AMUPA through its President Nadine González underlined the importance of involving local communities in the development of tourism with an indication of relevance that provides for the commitment in the present and in the future by following up on the collaboration agreement with ATP by putting it into practice.

Gloria De León, ATP Administrator declared that the importance of this collaboration with the municipalities of Panama is fundamental to exploit the tourism potential of each region thus achieving a positive impact on local communities and wanting tourism to be a source of well-being for all citizens of Panama.

Now the forecast is that local economies will be energized thus highlighting the activity and tourist offer of the different municipalities, the promotion of cultural events and the implementation of sustainability programs that preserve the natural and cultural heritage of Panama.

ATP and AMUPA will continue with their commitment to work together to develop new strategies aimed at improving the tourist experience by placing Panama at the center of the objectives to be achieved and as the main reference point in community, cultural and ecological tourism.
