Emilia Romagna | Positive Data at Incoming Tourist Level in the First Seven Months of 2024

 

Emilia Romagna, region in northern Italy extending from the Appennine Mountains to the Po River in the north with its notorious Adriatic coastline, has obtained positive and encouraging data in terms of incoming tourism according to what was reported by Unioncamere, the organization that deals with information, studies, research, continuous monitoring of the regional economic reality with wide availability of statistical data.

The figures relating from January to July of the current year have recorded a new increase in terms of presences quantified at 32.5 million and arrivals at 8.4 million showing an increase in both cases of 3%.

Il Resto del Carlino, well-known Italian newspaper based in Bologna, reported that among the various grographic areas of the region, the Rivera Romagnola leads the growth in terms of arrivals with an increase of 5% followed by the Spas and the Apennines where there has been a significant increase in presences, while as far as the cities of art are concerned, they have maintained stable values.

The Regional Councillor for Tourism Andrea Corsini commented that these data would confirm the attractiveness of Emilia Romagna perceived in its essence more and more as a unique, great tourist destination and these results have been obtained thanks to the good work of Tourist Destinations, Tourist Boards, public and private bodies.
