Paraguay Candidates itself as a Destination for MICE Tourism of Relevance

Senatur, the National Secretariat of Tourism, government branch that establishes the Paraguayan national tourism policy, guidelines and promotion to facilitate and regulate the development of tourism in Paraguay for the benefits of visitors and the general public has emphasized that the country is positioned as an important centre for meeting tourism and the MICE segment especially in Latin America.

Linked to all that preparations are underway for the World Rally Championship to be held between 2025 and 2027 in the country after the recent success of the International Assembly of Jehovah's Witnesses which was celebrated in August of the current year in the capital Asunción, events that consolidate the country as a destination for MICE tourism of relevance.

Senatur's Director of Convention Tourism, Victor Chamorro declared that Paraguay has managed to position itself among the 10 best places to organize events in Latin America according to the ICCA International Convention Association.

It was noted that business and business meetings have been strengthened and that therefore Paraguay still has resources and a lot of potential to exploit in the face of this tourism trend.

In the local media, the Director of Tourism of Encuentros commented that the capital of the country Asunción is equal to the main cities of Latin America with a neutral place compared to large countries on the continent such as Argentina and Brazil which have hosted the largest number of events of this type.

So lately Paraguay is in the sight of the major unions and associations also thanks to Paraguayan professionals who dare to raise their hand and apply for us.

Paraguay, in addition to the advantages in short distances and the ease of entry it offers, also stands out for its air connections and its economic stability, two aspects that make the country an excellent destination for the MICE segment.

To these factors is added the excellent quality of the hotels, considered to be of a high level not only in the infrastructure but also in the services offered.

There will be a continuation working for the improvement of interconnection so that the events also serve to promote visits to the tourist attractions of the country and the country cannot continue with the delays at border crossings, regarding this aspect actions are already being coordinated with counterparts from other countries.

The big event in sight in the near future, the World Rally Championship will bring thousands of people to Paraguay and therefore more fluidity is needed at the border crossings.
