Six Sense Telluride will be the brand's new luxury resort that will be built on the scenic and fascinating San Juan Mountains in Colorado in the beautiful natural setting of the high and rugged mountain range in the Rocky Mountains in the southwestern area of the American state and northwestern New Mexico.
The structure, which will be inaugurated in 2028, will be built in a canyon surrounded by the impervious peaks of the San Juan Mountains, a well-known area highly mineralized and figured in the gold and silver mining industry of early Colorado, the accommodation will provide 77 rooms and 24 branded residences and having already obtained LEED Silver certification, the recognition of the project's initial steps toward minimizing its environmental impact.
This future resort will be part of the Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio of IHG Hotels & Resorts also known as InterContinental Hotels Group, British multinational hospitality company with its headquarter in Windsor – Berkshire in England.
Six Sense Telluride will be the group's first luxury resort in the North American Mountain West region in a location designated as the National Historic Landmark District in a former mining town that is a very lively and bustling destination famous for arts events, blues, jazz and film festivals.
For its construction, the architects of Vault Design, bespoke design company, specialising in Bathrooms, Bedrooms and Kitchens, based in Rickmansworth – UK opted for natural materials, while Rose Ink Workshop, company based in Miami – Florida, designed the interiors with a warm and clear palette that will be used throughout the resort.
As reported by TopHotelNews, well known insights platform focused on the hotel industry providing updates on hotel projects, brand expansions and design, the 24 residences will provide two to five bedrooms, with guest facilities that will include a gym, a cinema and a games room.
Other facilities available will be the specialized restaurant Omakase Dining, a rooftop restaurant with swimming pool, commercial and conference spaces that will also be open to the local community.
