Marriott International, Inc., well known American multinational company based in Bethesda - Maryland, hospitality group which operates, franchises and licenses loddging brands that include hotels residential and timeshare properties all around the world, is preparing a future expansion in North America with its midscale brand City Express one year after the acquisition of this former Mexican hotel brand.
The American Group, which owns City Express by Marriott brand in its portfolio with approximately 17.000 rooms in Mexico, has announced that it has signed agreements and possible City Express hotel openings in Canada and the United States of America over the next few months.
Previously named Mid - T by Marriott, the desire to introduce the City Express brand in North America is part of a strategic plan to strengthen the presence and greater visibility in the midscale category hotel industry in a large gerographic area.
Marriott International informed the City Express brand is an optimal solution for hotel conversions with opportunities for new construction in the future.
Mariott International's Head of Global Development for the U.S. and Canada, Noah Silverman commented that the hotel group has listened carefully to owners and franchisees to develop and design a highly efficient operating model, and City Express by Marriott will offer optimal guarantees and solutions in this regard.
