Silversea Cruises, renowned ultra-luxury and expedition travel brand founded in 1994 by the Lefebvre family of Rome and the Vlasov Group with its headquarters in Fointvieille in the Principality of Monaco will invest and open a hotel in one of its base ports in Chile in Puerto Williams.
This hotel will be the cruise line's southernmost hotel on earth and will serve as a stopover for Silversea Cruises guests en route to Antarctica.
The hotel will be built in collaboration with Chilean investors and according to information from the cruise group it should be completed in 2025.
Another note from Silversea Cruises reports that the hotel will initially be a place of stay for guests who purchase fly-cruise packages of the company and will be an accommodation that in its spirit, philosophy and location will enrich the experience of guests traveling to a destination of great charm and appeal as Antarctica.
The Hotel surrounded by a picturesque forest will be developed in Puerto Williams, well known town in the Beagle Channel, in a territory which is part of the suggestive Tierra del Fuego archipelago, a popular start point for trips around the iconic Cape Horn and strategic gateway to explore the jagged peaks of the nearby Dientes de Navarino, a stunning mountain range at the very bottom of Patagonia.
The accommodation with direct views of the Beagle Channel and the local mountains will provide 150 rooms, a restaurant that can accommodate group meetings, a bar, a fitness center, a gift shop with items created by local artisans.
