Tunisia, northermost country in Africa bordering the Mediterranean Sea and part of the Maghreb region is making progress in recovering its tourism seeking to promote investment in the sector and in addition to promoting new programs and inititiaves that aim to develop sustainable and responsible tourism.
The President of FTAV, the Tunisian Federation of Travel Agencies, Ahmed Bettaieb through the local press has highlighted that most tourist areas registered a remarkable recovery, coinciding in particular with the school holidays and the end of the administrative year, ensuring once again that the south of Tunisia is registering significant influxes confirming this process of recovery.
At a recent convention, several tourism professionals discussed the importance of the country’s participation in international exhibitions and fairs to promote the destination of Tunisia in a global scenario.
Directly linked to that The promotion of Tunisia’s tourist destination will be carried out by the ONTT, Tunisia’s National Tourist Office, throughout 2025 highlighting a variety of initiatives, new programs, and tourist proposals such as the Culinary Route, the Cinematographic Route and the UNESCO Route among others.
The professionals have asked the authorities for the best possible coordination with all interest parties, including diplomatic delegations and Tunisian structures abroad to ensure the influence of Tunisia’s image abroad.
And yet, the tourism sector continues to surprise, due to several factors and professionals in the sector have welcomed the indicators, although they prefer to remain cautious about the future.
