The Dubai Roads and Transport (RTA) has completed the rollout of free Wi – FI on all its intecity buses in partnership with e& formerly Etisalat, a company headquartered in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, a global technology and investment conglomerate and leading provider of digital and telecommunications solutions with a relevant presence in the Middle East, Asia and Africa enhancing passenger experience and support UAE’ digital experience.
RTA has successfully equipped all 259 of its bus fleet with this service, an initiative aims to enhance the commuting experience for passengers providing them seamless connectivity with complimentary access to the internet during their journeys on routes linking Dubai to other emirates such as Abu Dhabi, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah and Sharjah.
This initiative aims to transform the daily commuting experience by allowing travellers to stay connected, work or study remotely, manage personal tasks, or browse the internet using their smartphones, tablets, or laptops, making long - distance bus journey more enjoyable and productive.
The RTA has been actively expanding its free Wi – Fi services, previously launching the service at public bus stations and marine transport stations in Dubai.
