Torremolinos, famous municipality in Andalusia, in southern Spain situated on the western shore of the Bay of Málaga and in front of the suggestive Sierra de Mijas, the first of the Costa del Sol resorts to be developed and is still the most popular in the region, will host the first edition of SACRUM, the International Fair of Sacred Heritage, Products, Services and Tourism of the Religious World of Spain from 25th to 27th October 2024.
The event will be held at the Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones de la Costa del Sol of Torremolinos, important convention and fair center member of the OMT, the World Tourism Organization situated in Calle Mexico,3.
Th SACRUM fair is an important event focusing and specialising in the presentation and promotion of religious culture and art, the name "Sacrum" comes from Latin and mean "sacred" which underline the fair's focus on sacred objects and themes.
The event is organized by SACRUM Association, a professional platform of the Religious Heritage and Related Industries of Spain in collaboration with the MUSAN, Museum of Sacred Art of the Church of the Holy Angel of Seville and Fundación Unicaja, an organisation dedicated to the promotion of art and culture in the region while the exhibition has been managed by Alfredo Grande,Commissioner of SACRUM 2024.
Among the sponsors there are also the Municipality of Torremolinos and UMAS – Mutual Insurance for Religious Entities, from Pantoja Logistic Group and Tourism of Lorca.
This event undoubtedly has a special significance not only because of its unique focus on certain themes but because it highlights the cultural heritage of the region.
SACRUM offers a platform for the exchange between museums, churches, artists, collectors an event considered as a celebration of the religious world and brotherhood in an environment that will involve the industry of tourism, artists, the clergy world and the general public with a wide range of activities such as conferences, round tables, exhibitions, masterclasses, chapel music, concerts of brotherhood music, "saetas", exhibition of medals of sacred art and religious gastronomy among others.
