Ponta Delgada, executive capital and largest city of the Azores archipelago, Autonomous Region of Portugal situated on the São Miguel Island, a multifaceted centre where tradition lives hand – in – hand with the present and cosmopolitanism with sholesome tranquillity of the Azorean life highlighted by many kilometres of quiet cobblestone streets weaving through a charm – filled old town, a centre which boasts a rich historic and cultural heritage and it represents the gateway to the suggestive crater lakes of Sete Cidades to the northwest will host from 30th October to 02nd November 2024 the ATS24, the Azores Tourism Summit.
The event organized by the Regional Secretariat of Tourism, Mobility and Infrastructure of the Azores will take place at the Pavilhão do Mar, a meeting for regional trade to discuss and debate ideas about the sector's challenges, as well as sharing new tourism trends which will bring considerable visibility to the Azores among hundreds of tourism professionals.
The summit will feature 30 stands with regional exhibitors and 10 institutional desks, showcasing the range of services and projects available in the Azores.
ATS24 will offer a varied programme, with presentations on the tradeshow, workshop and entertainment and a draw will be held for trips and promotional packages to other islands during the 2024/2025 low season.
The Tourism Board of the Azores declared that this event is also a unique opportunity to get to know the destination and the offer of activities available throughout the territory of the archipelago.
The Regional Secretariat commented that this initiative aims to elevate the Regional Tourism Meeting to an International Conference by allowing the meeting of tourism professionals from the Azores and other North Atlantic destinations and markets.
