Buenos Aires, the capital and largest centre of Argentina, located on the southwest of the Rio de la Plata River, a vibrant cosmopolitan city well known for its great cultural life, vibrant neighborhoods, street art,  remarkable architecture combining colonial and neoclassical styles, large green parks was recognised among the 3 most trendiest destinations worlwide by Tripadvisor in the 2025 Travelers' choice Awards.

The South American city is a stunning blend of Latin passion, café culture, trendy restaurants, great entertainment, with never - ending nights that can easily stretch until dawn, cradle of the iconic Tango, declared in September 2009 as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO, a centre that offers endless options to enjoy and live memorable experiences in one of the most fascinating and captivating metropolis in the world.

This award, one of the most important in the tourism sector and rewards the destinations, hotels, and gastronomic offer chosen by travellers from all over the world elevates once again the Argentine capital as one of the three leading destinations internationally thanks to its charm and magic aura surrounding its bustling districts and lively "barrios". 

Buenos Aires also appears in the ranking within the top ten gastronomic placing itself in 9th position, 20th as destination to go on honeymoon and among the 25 best destinations in the world to visit as  22nd in the ranking of this category and positioning as the leading shopping capital of South America.

In addition iconic landmarks of the city were distinguished in the Tripadvisor categories such as the Colón Theatre, historic opera house in Buenos Aires, considered one the best opera houses in the world by National Geographic, well known for its astounding acoustic, a world - class forum for opera, ballet and classical msic and the iconic Café Tortoni, French style café opened in 1858 located at Avenida de Mayo 825, favourite haunt of the cultural elite with live Tango.

Tripadvisor in its usual message to celebrate the winners of the awards refers to Buenos Aires as "the birthplace of tango" and highlights the old neighborhoods full of romantic restaurants, exciting nighlife and European heritage, evident in Buenos Aires' architecture, boulevards and park. 

Buenos Aires is able to bewitch a multitude of visitors, it is a city that boasts more than 7.000 gastronomic establishment, 287 theatres, 380 bookstores and 150 museums. The traditional places stand out, but the other side of the city also appears, which continues to be find even for Buenos Aires reidents, such as specialty cafes, independent theatres, speakeasy, rooftops and Milonga schools.

The President of the Tourism Board of the City of Buenos Aires, Valentin Díaz Gilligan said that being part of this ranking reflects the continued growth of the City as a preferred destination for travellers from all over the world. 

This recognition obliges the public institutions to work actively and constantly with the private sector to generate an increasingly attractive agenda of events and massive shows to continue enriching year after year the cultural, gastronomic and experience offering that Buenos Aires boasts.
