IHG Hotels & Resorts | Inaugurated its First Dual - Branded Hotel in Australia, located in Melbourne

IHG Hotels & Resorts, British multinational hospitality company headquartered in Windsor, Berkshire, England, UK, has inaugurated its first dual branded hotel in Australia, located in Melbourne, the coastal capital of the southeastern state of Victoria, a vibrant metropolis occupies much more o the northern and eastern coastlines of Port Philipp Bay and spreading into the Mornington Peninsula. 

The opening of  Hotel Indigo Melbourne and Holiday Inn Melbourne Bourke Street, marks the expansion of the group in an important market as Australia where IHG Hotels & Resorts boasts a relevant portfolio and various units in development.

The development is situated in the Melbourne Walk precint, a major transformative retail development in the heart of Melbourne’s Bourke Street Mall, designed to revitalize the area and enhance the city’s north - south laneway network.

The project includes large - format retail spaces, connect with heritage buildings, and features a rooftop bar and restaurant, as well hotels and it aims to be a central hub for brands, experiences, and people, connecting various parts of the CBD and providing a significant boost to Melbourne’s retail core

The Hotel Indigo Melbourne Little Collins - The property features 179 comfortable rooms and incorporate heritage elements from the site’s history, including the preservation of facades from buildings such as Diamond House and the Public Benefit Bootery. Highlighted by a design that reflects Melbourne’s cultural heritage, the hotel boasts captivating elements like a spiral staircase and a mural by local artist Lisa King. 

The property include the restaurant Fern Bar & Dining which serves modern Melbourne cuisine and extends to an outdoor courtyard known as Fern’s Garden. 

The Holiday Inn Melbourne Bourke Street Mall - This hotel marks the brand’s return to Melbourne’s CBD after five - year absence and features 273 rooms, an open - plan lobby and public spaces. The property’s design includes modern artworks inspired by Melbourne’s landmarks and a palette that aims to cretate a relaxed atmosphere. A notable highlight is a 220 - metre terrace with views over Bourke Street Mall. 

The Greenery is the hotel’s dining option offering a menu focused on familiar dishes. The restaurant also offers a buffet breakfast and a “Kids Stay & Eat Free” program.
