IHG Hotels & Resorts | Portfolio Expansion in South Asia with the Future Opening of Two Hotels in Bengaluru, India

 IHG Hotel & Resorts, British multinational hospitality company headquartered in Windsor, Berkshire, England, UK has signed a management agreement to open two new hotels in Bengaluru, the capital of India’s southern Karnataka state, a centre boasts a rich cultural and historical heritage highlighted by several historic sites, among them the majestic Bangalore Palace, ISKCON Temple, Bull Temple and the extensive Cubbon Park, a captivating city called “Garden City” for the presence of several gardens and “The Silicon Valley of India” for its high - tech industry.

The development of the two hotels, a Crowne Plaza and a Holiday Inn Express is the result of a management agreement with Hotel Chetan International, and part of  IGH Hotels & Resorts’ strategy to expand its portfolio in South Asia in key and popular destinations like Bengaluru,.collectively adding over 420 rooms to IHG Hotels & Resorts portfolio in the region.

Both properties are scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2028 and they will be situated in Bengaluru’s KIADB Aerospace Park, a major industrial, innovation and technology hub for many leading companies include  Boeing India, Engineering Technology Centre (BIETC), Dynamatics, Ideaforge Technologies, Collins, Goodrich Aerospace, Magellan and Safran HAL as well as Global Capability among others.

This location, situated near Kempegowda International Airport is expected apart the aerospace industry to generate 300.000 to 400.000 jobs and it will also promote real estate growth in the area.

The proximity to the upcoming BCCI Centre of Excellence and National Cricket Academy, along with nearby residential and commercial developments, it also anticipated to drive demand from social, leisure and MICE (Meetings, Incentive, Conferences, and Exibithions) segments.

The Crowne Plaza Bengaluru KIADB Aerospace Park - The hotel will feature 210 comfortable rooms, four dining options, including an all - day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant, a lobby lounge, and a pool bar. The property will boast extensive meeting spaces across four venues, including a ballroom and will also provide parking facilities.

The hotel will enter in the Crowne Plaza brand that prioritizes understanding individual guest needs, characterized by spaces and amenities for “blended travel” such as the Plaza Workspace and WorkLife rooms designed to seamlessly integrate work and relaxation for modern business and leisure travellers. 

The Holiday Inn Express Bengaluru KIADB Aerospace Park - The property will feature 210 rooms, a fitness centre and parking spaces. 

The establishment will enter in the Holiday Inn Express brand offering a modern, consistent experience for value - oriented travellers, focusing on efficiency, comfort and essential amenities, targeting both business and leisure travellers seeking a high - quality, yet affordable, stay.
