The George at Columbia a Tapestry Collection by Hilton hotel has officially opened its doors in Harlem, New York, U.S. , a prominent neighbourhood in Upper Manhattan, historically significant for its rich African - American culture, impressive 19th century architecture and modern buildings,  iconic landmarks such as the Apollo Theatre, an area that is experiencing a rebirth marked by economic development, cultural preservation and a vibrant nightlife.

The hotel  part of Hilton’s Tapestry Collection, a very performing brand owned by Hilton Worldwide Holdings, Inc. , American hospitality company based in Tysons, Virginia,  is located at 412 West 126th Street near Columbia University, Morningside Park and the Apollo Theatre, a 5 - minute drive of Central Park, 3.8 kilometres from Yankee Stadium and 5.3 kilometres from Metropolitan Museum of Art.  

The hotel is the first Hilton property in Harlem and aims to integrate with the local community through local hiring and community - focused programming.  

The property boasts a design that incorporate art deco elements and natural textures and features 139 comfortable rooms with floor - to - ceiling windows, a terrace lounge, lobby bar, fitness centre, 2.000 square feet of meeting space and two full - service restaurants are planned to open in spring 2026, with a heated pool expected to be operational by Summer 2026.

The new establishment is now part of the Tapestrty Collection by Hilton brand characterized by independent hotels uniquely designed and reflecting the local culture and environment, offering guests an authentic and memorable experience. These hotels are known for their vibrant design, excellence in service, local food and beverage offerings.
