The increase in visitors undoubtedly reflects the remarkable Cambodian cultural heritage to be discovered and often left on the margins of international tourism due to various historical vicissitudes or for lack of effective tourism promotions and campaigns.

Since the pandemic, travel to Cambodia has been recovering and increasing, the country has launched several tourist offers highlighting the pristine and quiet beaches, its lively markets, its inland territory, historic Buddhist temples, archaeological sites, which are attracting more and more international travelers eager to explore the unique charm and rich history of this country sandwiched between Thailand and Vietnam.

In 2023, Cambodia's gross domestic product reached approximately $31.77 million, a figure that undoubtedly reflects the country's continued growth by highlighting the resilience and development of the Asian nation especially in key sectors such as tourism, manufacturing and agriculture.

In terms of incoming tourism, the main market is China, which already in 2019 with 2.36 million visitors was leading the ranking with an increase of 18% compared to 2018, a trend that increased in 2020 and in the following years, which means how much Cambodia is very attractive for Chinese tourists followed closely by tourists coming from Thailand and Vietnam.
