citizenM, a Netherlands - based, global hotel developer, investor, and hotel chain known for its tech - integrated, design focused, and affordable luxury accommodations opened its first property in Ireland a 245 – room hotel in the lively capital of the country, Dublin.
citizenM Dublin St Patrick enters in a brand which aims to cater "mobile citizens" frequent travellers who appreciate convenience and technology in their hotel experiences, well known for its distinct design aesthetic, tech - driven amenities, and emphasis on communal spaces.
The 4-star hotel hosted in a Brutalist building by Irish architect Sam Stephenson is located in the historic Liberties neighbourhood, in the southwest of the inner city, known for its rich history, vibrant culture and a mix of old and new, directly opposite St Patrick's Cathedral, and close to iconic landmarks like Dublin Castle, St. Stephen Green and the Guinness Brewery.
The hotel exterior features public artworks, including a bronze - cast lyric by Dublin rapper Malaki and a new mural by Claire Prouvost, a French painter, graphic artist and muralist from Toulouse making with her works a big impact on the streets of Dublin.
The property provides 245 comfortable guestrooms, and in collaboration with IMMA, the Irish Museum of Modern Art, each room features bespoke diptychs by local artists, curated by IMMA's head of programming Mary Cremin.
Amenities include a terrace, a 24/7 canteenM and meeting rooms called SocietyM, which are also open to the public.
citizenM, which was acquired by Marriott International earlier this year, offers a mycitizenM+ membership which unlocks guaranteed room discounts, late check - outs, priority rooms and free coworking, all year round.
