Nicaragua | Enhancing its International Tourism Promotion with the Initiative “Vive Nicaragua tu próximo destino”

Nicaragua is actively promoting its tourism sector, highlighting its natural beauty, cultural richness and affordable prices focusing on attracting international tourists through various strategies, including showcasing its diverse attractions, developing sustainable tourism initiatives, and offering attractive investment incentives.

As part of its international promotion  strategy the Central American country through INTUR, the Tourism Institute of Nicaragua, with the support of the Nicaraguan Embassies in Honduras and El Salvador presented the initiative “Vive Nicaragua, tu próximo destino”,Experience Nicaragua, Your Next Destination” to more than 60 tourism operators and entrepreneurs from both countries.

This campaign is part of Nicaragua’s efforts to attract more visitors from neigboring countries and with the aim to enhance its position as a competitive and sustainable destination in the region, and reaffirming the country’s commitment to developing sustainable and inclusive tourism with a very diversified offer.

The Representative of the Promotion and Marketing Directorate of INTUR, Miguel Reyes during the meeting with the Honduran and Salvadorean operators highlighted the attributes of Nicaragua : natural diversity, cultural richness, hospitality and very affordable prices. 

The campaign “Vive Nicaragua, tu próximo destino”includes the presentation of emblematic destinations such as Granada, beautiful city on the shores of Lake Nicaragua, one of Nicaragua’s most important cemtres famous for its rich colonial heritage, seen in its architecture and structure and León, considered the intellectual centre of the nation, with a university founded in 1812 and its massive Cathedral which boasts a unique combination of baroque and neoclassical architecture.

In addition were highlighted the several beaches, volcanoes and natural reserves Nicaragua boasts and the growing offer of rural community and sustainable tourism were introduced with the aim of encouraging tourists to discover these numerous attractions the Central American country offers.

Eight Nicaraguan tourism entrepreneurs participated in the meeting, presenting captivating tourist packages and establishing commercial alliances in business rounds with professionals from the Honduran and Salvadorean tourism sectors.
