Another operation by the giant Marriott International, this time in collaboration with KKR & Co. Inc. known as Kohlberg Kravis Roberts, a U.S. global investment firm that manages multiple assets such as infrastructure, real estate, energy and equity with focus on Japan.
In the Asian country, the two groups have launched themselves into the mid-range hotel segment thanks to the purchase of Unizo Hotel by KKR and in addition to this operation they added other 14 hotels belonging to Unizo Holding.
Certainly, a significant large-scale strategy to expand the brands, these fourteen hotels that have entered the portfolio of KKR and its ally Marriott will be renamed as Four Point Express by Sheraton, classifying the facilities in the medium-economic range of the group.
The fourteen hotels located in ten different geographic areas will open by the end of the year, generating a capacity of approximately 3,600 new rooms that will be added to the portfolio of Marriott International KKR.
The strategy of the two groups is mainly based on launching into the Japanese real estate sector, a strong expansion investment and increasing accommodation capacity alongside other operations such as a local real estate management overseeing two national REITs, a portfolio of family properties in Tokyo, office assets and a further hotel in Shininkuju.
Undoubtedly, another major operation by the US group which adds to its notable portfolio other Hotels in destinations which are always in high demand for tourist and business travel.
