Brazil | Tourism Sector with Record Revenue with Strategies led by Embratur

 

Brazil, the largest and most populated country in South America, has experienced remarkable growth in the tourism sector with record revenues and a continuous progression driven by strategic efforts to attract international visitors from key markets such as the United States of America, China and Germany with a boost in marketing strategies, expansion operations including air connectivity led by Embratur.

According to data reported by Embratur also known the Brazilian Tourist Board, federal state - owned agency reporting Brazilian Ministry of Tourism working on the promotion, marketing and supporting to the trading of services, products and tourist destinations of Brazil abroad Brazil received a record amount of $6.9 billion in revenue from international tourism.

Embratur's Head of Transportation Philippe Karat outlined the strategies Brazil has adopted to increase the air services connectivity, expand its market reach and promote the country's rich cultural and natural attractions to a wide range of global travellers.

As far as incoming is concerned, the United States of America leads the ranking, becoming Brazil's largest international market closely followed by countries such as Argentina, Germany, France and the United Kingdom. 

The Head Transportation of Embratur noted that daily air services from Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas' U.S. hub to Rio de Janeiro, have significantly improved access for U.S. travellers, and this route represents a milestone in Brazil's tourism strategy in North America.

Brazil has also taken steps to improve its connectivity particularly through new routes to secondary Brazilian cities and Embratur has worked closely with airlines to develop new flight routes, providing easier access to major cities in Brazil and lesser - known destinations.

In addition, new connections are being promoted from the strategic airports of Santiago de Chile and Belo Horizonte, capital city of southeastern Brazil's Minas Gerais, have been operated by LATAM and SKY, a strategy allowing tourists to explore different parts of the country beyond traditional tourist spots such as São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

As for international markets, China and Germany are now key targets for future growth, although the United States of America and neighboring South American countries have traditionally been strong markets for Brazil.

Linked to that Embratur is increasingly focusing on attracting Chinese and German visitors who are seen as a vital source to Brazil's long – term tourism ambition.

The Head of Transport of Embratur then underlined the theme of the digital nomadisim which is one of the key Brazil is focusing on, particularly among American travellers.

The country is investing in infrastructures upgrades in key digital nomad hubs including in relevant cities such as Rio de Janeiro and Florianópolis, the capital of Santa Catarina state,  two centres which offer the perfect blend of modern amenities and coastal living.

Embratur in order to achieve its ambitious goals after an accurate analysis has implemented a compreenive marketing strategy projected and designed to promote Brazi's tourism potential in its main international markets including partnerships with tour operators, travel agencies, airlines, marketing campaigns and with a strong presence at international travel fairs.
