Chile | Relevant Growth of International Visitor Arrivals and Presentation of "Chile an Infinite Journey", Tourism Marketing Strategy Project

This surprising achievement was reported in a meeting, part of the inauguration of the "Chile, an infinite journey" walkway of the international terminal of the Santiago de Chile Airport with the presence of the Undersecretary of Tourism Verónica Pardo, the National Director of Sernatur, Cristóbal Benitez and the General Manager of Nuevo Pudahuel, Nicolas Claude.

This high performance concerning incoming tourism of the Latin American country highlights a 67.3% increase compared to the same period of 2024, the variation is +77.3% with reference to the year 2023 and an increase by 35.4% in comparison to 2019,a  data that undoubtedly represent a notable recovery of the Chilean tourism sector.

The Undersecretary of Tourism Verónica Pardo stated that January figures are the first sign of consolidation in what the institutions considers to be the year of tourism of Chile, the modification of the country projection are good signs for the economy and the Chilean industry, as they reflect n increase that will go between 38% and 49%. generating very promising expectations.

January 2025 like December 2024 exceeded expectations, so incorporating these positive results, the projection of international tourist arrivals was adjusted upwards again.

The expectations for this 2025 Summer Season, between 2.5 and 2.7 million international tourists arrivals are projected, that is, an increase of 38% and 49% to the 49% compared to the 2024 summer season.

The name and symbol of the marketing project located is visible the air terminal of the Santiago de Chile Arturo Merino Benitez, International Airport that was inaugurated by the Undersecretary of Tourism, the National Director of Sernatur and the General Manager of Nuevo Pudahuel which seeks to immerse travellers in the natural wealth of Chile through its waters.

 The project consisted of the installation of large images with explanatory texts, together with the intervention of the glass of the access corridors using a translucent material whose graphics represent Chile from north to south and through this action, it aims to transform the airport spaces into a sensory experience that reflects some of the highlights of Chile, such as the diversity and majesty of the country's aquatic ecosystem.

A photographic exhibition highlights the different bodies of water of the country, from the immensity of the Pacific Ocean to the stunning majestic glaciers of Patagonia, passing through the mighty rivers and crystalline lakes situated in the south of Chile.
