MGallery Collection, a global brand of luxury boutique hotels characterized by their unique stories, distinctive design and captivating details owned by of Accor S.A., French multinational hospitality company based in Issy - les - Moulineaux, announced the opening of a new stylish hotel on the Côte des Basques, Le Talaia Hotel & Spa Biarritz MGallery Collection, in  Biarritz, elegant and glamorous seaside town on southwestern France’s Basque coast, in the Nouvelle - Aquitaine region part of the Pyrénées - Atlantique department, approximately 35 kilometres from the Spanish border. 

Biarritz has been a popular resort since European royalty began visiting in the 1800s, and tourism has been at the heart of its history particularly during the roaring twenties where international travellers continued their escapes to the coast for the holidays. 

This Basque centre became the city of excess and eccentricity, welcoming many celebrities of the time like Charlie Chaplin, Pablo Picasso and Winston Churchill and becoming later a major surfing destination, with long sandy beaches and surf schools and also a relevant destination for international events and meetings.

Le Talaia Hotel & Spa Biarritz MGallery Collection enters in the MGallery Collection, where each hotel is designed to offer a memorable stay and a unique experience, with a focus on art, beauty, and personalized services.

The hotel is located at 1 Carr d’ Hélianthe, a few minutes from the trendy Bibi Beaurivage district and Les Halles, a short distance from the Vieux Port, the old port and the lively Avenue de Maréchal Joffre and Avenue de la Republique offering an easy access to the the major attractions and landmarks of Biarritz.

The hotel’s design incorporates elements of the surrounding Basque region, with interiors by the renowned Jean - Philippe Nuel studio, based in Nogent - Sur - Marne, a company rooted in a philosophy to design a universe that is more than just a décor but rather a complete atmosphere that will become the establishment true identity and personality.

The façade renovation was conducted by Claret - Lebecq, acclaimed firm founded in 1990 and located in Biarritz specializes in diverse projects, including public and cultural facilities, commercial and industrial buildings, collective and individual housing, and rehabilitation, renovation, and resurfacing.

The property aims to integrate local art and culture into its offerings, with a focus on sustainability and community engagement.

The hotel features 149 comfortable and stylish rooms, including eight suites and 20 family rooms.
Dining options include a rooftop restaurant, La Petite Plage led by Chef Éric Frechon, which serves a menu inspired by French and Basque cuisine.

In addition the property boasts a cocktail bar offering a signature drink that incorporates local ingredients, including Espelette pepper and Patxaran, a sloe - flavoured liqueur commonly drunk in the Basque Country as well as in Navarre, usually served as a digestif either chilled or on ice.

Amenities include a rooftop with panoramic views, a spa developed with Cinq Mondes, offering various treatments and natural therapies and facilities for surfing enthusiasts, including a designated area for cleaning and storing surfboards.

MGallery Collection’s new property aims to support local communities and organizations. Initiatives include partnership with local NGOs and support centres, offering complimentary services and hosting fundraising events.
