Radisson Hotel Group, multinational hospitality company based in Brussels, Belgium, has announced the opening of a new hotel at Twickenham Allianz Stadium, iconic site owned by the Rugby Football Union (RFU), the English rugby union governing body, which has its headquarter there, and the venue for the England national rugby’s union team’s home matches, located in Twickenham, a suburban district of London, on the Eiver Thames, 15.9 kilometres southwest of Charing Cross, accessible from central London in under a hour by train or road and a 20 - minute drive from London Heathrow Airport.
The new Radisson RED London Twickenham marks the first brand property to be located within a sport stadium, and aims to integrate with the venue’s offerings, providing a comprehensive experience for visitors.
The property situated at 198 Whitton Road on the south side of the Allianz Stadium features 159 rooms designed with a focus on functionality and bold aesthetics. The Rose and Legend Suites are themed around rugby legends, with each suite named after a notable figure from the sport. Rooms are equipped with modern amenities such as wireless charging points and Chrome Cast Technology.
Dining is available at The Huddle Restaurant, located at the ground floor of the property, offering a menu with international dishes, utilizing sourced ingredients and it caters to both dine - in and grab - and – go preferences, highly reflecting Twickenham’s status as a hub for international visitors and sports fans.
Guest staying at the hotel have complimentary access to the TW2 Health and Fitness Club, which includes a gym, sauna, and indoor swimming pool.
The Radisson RED also features The Loft, a space situated on the mezzanine level, designed for socializing and hosting events. The area can be divided into three sections to accommodate meetings, dining, breakout sessions and it can host up to 200 guests for presentation - style meetings and includes its own bar.
The hotel provides guests with access to various stadium - related attractions, including the emblematic World Rugby Museum displaying a collection comprises over 37.000 pieces of rugby memorabilia, boots, balls, jerseys, programmes, match – tickets, books, and assorted paraphernalia, and the Twickenham Experience Conference & Events.
The property is part of Radisson RED, an upscale brand offering a playful, social, and stylish for travellers with an “ageless millennial mindset”.
