Argentina, country in the southern half of South America, located between the Andes Mountains and the Atlantic Ocean, has set up the Interministerial Committee for the Facilitation of Tourism in the Country in a meeting chaired by the Secretary of Tourism, Environment and Sport Daniel Scioli.
The Committee includes several areas of the National Government created with the primary objective of accelerating the development of tourism, strengthening competitiveness, effectively promoting the tourist offer and addressing the challenges looming in the sector.
The Secretary commented that Argentina is in an unbeatable position to make a qualitative and quantitative leap in terms of tourism.
The key role of the Interministerial Committee represents the implementation of policies that allow the country to be promoted as a global tourist destination and this space created at the government level is essential to work on everything that is necessary for this leap to happen.
The Secretary then underlined the strategic importance of the sector, not only as a generator of employment, but also as a key pillar in the national economy, particularly in the generation of foreign currency.
Tourism is essential for Argentina's economic growth and will be a key element in this new stage of development that is the beginning.
Today Argentina offers conditions of security and stability that are highly valued by tourists, which puts the country in an excellent position to attract more visitors.
