The Ava Hotel, part of the Hilton Curio Collection, a brand owned by Hilton, American multination hospitality company based in Tysons, Virginia, has opened its doors in Paso Robles, a Californian city located on the Salinas River in San Luis Obispo County, well known for its abundance of wineries, production of olive oil, almond orchards and celebrated for its natural healing hot springs.
The hotel offers a contemporary escape in the heart of California wine country and is situated at 944 Pine Street, adjacent to the 101 and North County Transit Center, near the city’s historic town square and just steps from Downtown City Park, providing guests with a easy access to local shopping, dining and wine tasting venues.
The hotel is managed by Azul Hospitality Group, a SoCal based management company with experienced professionals to maximize property & outlet revenue headquartered in San Diego, California.
The property entered in the brand Hilton Curio Collection, known to feature hand - picked, high - end, and locally inspired boutique hotels in desirable destinations offering unique stories and experiences through distinctive architecture, design, dining, and curated services.
As a “soft brand” within Hilton, Curio hotels retain their individual character and branding while benefiting from Hilton’s global scale, expertise, and the Hilton Honors loyalty program.
The architectural design of the hotel was developed by Moore 2 Design, an architecture and interior design firm based in Palmetto, Florida, Pegasus Architects, a San Luis Obispo Architecture Design firm specializing in custom homes, hospitality and commercial properties and Arris Studio Architects, a full service architectural firm with offices in San Luis Obispo and Portland, Oregon.
Studio Sinclair, a boutique interior design studio based in Dallas and Los Angeles, focusing on hospitality, residential, multi – family, and commercial design in collaboration with HBA, also known as Hirsch Bedner Associates, a global hospitality designed established in 1965 in Santa Monica, California.
The four - story building incorporates mid - century lines with natural materials and offers stunning views of the surrounding wine country.
The hotel provides 151 comfortable guest rooms and suites, featuring a variety of room configurations, including single king, double queen, and double king layouts. Some upgrades accommodations include Juliet balconies or pool patio decks with direct access to the rooftop saltwater pool.
Dining options at the Ava Hotel include three venue. EMRE, the hotel’s signature restaurant, offering a a menu inspired by the Mediterranean coast, featuring dishesd such as a whole grilled fish and lamb racks. Pine Street Bistro, an all – day café provides a casual dining experience with a menu of salads, sandwiches, and breakfast items, and Esperanza on the Rooftop which is the town’s largest rooftop bar and poolside lounge serves coastal crudos and ceviches.
The culinary team is led by Consulting Chef Julien Asseo, Chef de Cuisine Casey McMinn, Beverage Director Lannon Rust, and Director of Hospitality Brandon Trowbridge.
The Ava Hotel also includes 6.500 square feet of event space, with the Rooftop Courtyard and Tablas Ballroom available for various functions.
The hotel aims to offer a range of activities and events, including wine tastings and local chef competitions, to highlight the region’s wine culture and community.
The property is owned by a joint venture between Paso Robles Hotel Partners and Peachtree Group, a real estate investment firm headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia and reservation are available online, with rates starting at $225 per night.
