Marriott International, American multinational hospitality company based in Bethesda, Maryland is planning to develop a new St. Regis Hotel & Residences in West Cairo, metropolitan area of Egypt’s capital and largest city. The company has signed signing an agreement with Palm Hills Developments, a real real estate company headquartered in Cairo, a leading Egyptian real estate developer known for integrated residential, commercial real estate and resort projects in East/West Cairo, the North Coast and Red Sea areas.
With an anticipated opening in 2030 the St. Regis Palm Hills Cairo will be located within the P/X project in Palm Hills, situated on West Cairo’s highest hill, not far from the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), offering panoramic Giza Pyramid views and Cairo skyline, extensive greenery, water features, and elevated living with modern architecture, featuring apartments, villas, townhouses, sport facilities (gyms, pools, courts), retail hubs, cafes, fine dining, jogging tracks, and 24/ 7 security, blending tranquillity with urban convenience for residents and travellers.
The project is planned to include a 150 - room hotel, 50 services apartments and 150 branded residences. The property is expected to feature multiple dining venues, a spa, a fitness centre, pools, a children’s club and meeting and event facilities, and offering access to Palm Hills’ 27 - hole Jack Nicklaus Design golf course.
The property will join the St.Regis brand, which features a timeless, modern, luxury with a focus on exclusive experiences, luxurious amenities and known for delivering personalized through its signature St. Regis Butler Service and signature rituals like the Bloody Mary and Afternoon Tea.
Palm Hills Developments stated that the partnership with Marriott International aligns with its hospitality expansion strategy, including with plans to add up to 3.000 rooms in the coming years to support Egypt’s tourism growth and attract international investment in West Cairo.
