Magdalena 1163, a new boutique hotel has opened its doors in Condado, a highly urbanized beachfront resort, a commercial and residential district with various upscale hotels, restaurants, shops, and condos centred around Ashford Avenue in the barrio de Santurce, in San Juan, the capital municipality of Puerto Rico, offering an easy access to Old San Juan historic quarter, Isla Verde resort area, Hato Rey business centre, and SJU Airport.
Located at 1163 Magdalena Avenue the new property developed by entrepreneurs Carlos López - Lay and María Isabel Esteve, the renovation cost $7 million, and the hotel currently employ six staff members.
The property featuring 10 suites is accurately designed for business and leisure travellers seeking comfort, exclusivity, and personalised service. Each suite is equipped with a kitchenette that includes a microwave, Nespresso machine, and refrigerator. Additional features include layered lighting and ceiling wallpaper.
Magdalena 1163 features art pieces that reflect Caribbean culture, with works by Bernardo Medina, Cundo Bermúdez, and Rogative.
Amenities at the hotel include a continental breakfast, a snack and beverage lounge, a gym, rooftop area featuring a lounge with an indoor section and an open – air terrace, which can accommodate events for up to 40 people, a meeting room available for up to 10 participants, equipped with presentation technology, parking, car rental, and laundry service.
The hotel uses the Kipsu platform, pioneer of customer messaging for 24/7 communication between guests and staff to manage requests efficiently.
