Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group | Future Opening of a New Luxury Resort in Puerto Rico

 

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group International Limited, multinational hospitality and management group focusing on luxury hotels, resorts and residences, founded in 1963 and headquartered in Hong Kong will open and manage a new luxury resort in Puerto Rico, self - governing Caribbean and island organized as an unincorporated territory of the U.S. in the Greater Antilles.

The Mandarin Oriental Esencia Puerto Rico will be located in Esencia, as part of a larger $2 million new residential development and hospitality community set on the breathtaking western coast of the Caribbean island along the shores of Boquerón Bay in the area of Cabo Rojo, well known for its stunning beaches, the emblematic Morrillos Lighthouse, wildlife refuge and the pink waters of the salt flats.

The complex is scheduled to open in 2028 and it is being developed by Reuben Brothers, British company based in London, UK, leader real estate investment and development and venture capital and Three Rules Capital, a real estate development group specializing in the creation of pioneering luxury residential and resort communities with offices in Los Angeles, London, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic and it will also be home to a Rosewood Hotels & Resorts – flagged property.

The resort will feature 106 rooms, including suites with plunge pools,villa accommodations with private pools, five dining venues, a beach club, a Mandadarin Oriental Spa with oudoor lap pool and fitness center, a children's club, an outdoor adventure center and an 18 - hole golf course.

The project will also include the development of 83 residential villas spread across hillside, beach and cliff locations as well as approximately 200 private residences within several six - story buildings.

The opening of the Mandarin Oriental Esencia Puerto Rico in part of the expansion of the group in the Caribbean and it will be the luxury brand's third oupost in the region joining the soon - to open Mandarin Oriental Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands and the Mandarin Oriental Canouan in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
