IHG Hotels & Resorts | Future Opening Zero Energy Hotel at Singapore Changi Airport

IHG Hotels & Resorts, famous multinational company with its official headquarters in Windsor - Berkshire in Great Britain, will open the zero-energy Hotel Indigo at Changi Airport in Singapore.

The planned hotel will be developed and attached to Terminal 2 of the airport via a walkway and will be part of the IHG Hotel Indigo brand, described as the first zero-energy hotel in Singapore and in the world.

The Hotel Indigo will reportedly have 255 rooms, a rooftop club, a bar and an infinity pool, and the operations will be managed by the OUE Ltd Group.

As far as the sustainable structure is concerned, design elements will be included such as hybrid cooling systems, solar panels, technological equipment to collect rainwater, ventilated corridors and also Floating Forest which consists of a large area with hanging plants, layers of river forest that will extend over the seven floors that will form the building.

The opening on Terminal 2 Coach Stand is expected by 2028 and will join other hotels in the airport core such as the Crown Plaza connected to Terminal 3 and YOTELAIR Singapore Changi located inside the airport.

Singapore, a small country in Southeast Asia, has long been a country in great development always oriented towards progress, with avant-garde works and the construction of the Hotel Indigo is a further confirmation.
