Accor Greater China has announced the opening of the Sofitel Shangai North Bund Hotel, the group's 700th largest hotel, a 25-storey property that stands as a pearl of the Sofitel Hotels & Resorts brand.
The inauguration of the hotel takes place on a very significant date, in fact 2024 corresponds to Sofitel's 60th anniversary at the same time as 60 years of diplomatic relations between France and China.
The hotel is located in the heart of the North Bund area of Shanghai and has 315 rooms equipped with all services, designed with refinement combining modern details with fusions of French and Chinese elements that blend harmoniously in the layout.
The development of the design focuses on typically Chinese colors and shades, that is, with bright yellow and green as protagonists in perfect combination with art deco motifs of French extraction, combining the sumptuous elegance of the Chinese golden age with its iconic dynasties to the classic and chic style of the "belle epoque" of Paris.
The rooms enjoy stunning 360-degree views of the Northern Bund skyline, the Old Milfun Cultural Monument erected in 1933 and the river.
Guests have access to various social spaces, meeting rooms, and three restaurants called Hui, Lechanteur and Orchestre.
Accor group has certainly meticulously planned its strategies by developing this hotel in a very important market such as China in a very active city for business and cultural tourism such as Shanghai, as well as including the Sofitel brand, a brand much appreciated by Chinese people.
