Antequera – Spain | UNAV Forum for the Future of Tourism – 23th- 25th October 2024

Antequera, splendid city in the province of Malaga known as the "heart of Andalusia" due to its geographical position between Malaga, Granada, Cordoba and Seville and site of the dolmens UNESCO World Heritage Site will host the fifth edition of the UNAV Forum for the Future of Tourism, one of the reference events in the congress calendar of the tourism and travel sector.

The event which will be held from 23rd to 25th October has the support of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the Junta de Andalucia, the Tourism of the Costa del Sol and the Municipality of Antequera.

The UNAV Forum is a project born in 2020 to analyze the situation of the tourism sector in the context of the normality that emerged after the global crisis of the pandemic.

The previous editions were held in Gran Canaria in 2020, in 2021 in Cordoba, in 2022 in Almeria and in 2023 in Úbeda and Jaén with great success in terms of participation and high media interest both for the content of the sessions and for the high-level speakers.

This new edition is the second that takes place within the UNAV Future strategic project which represents the proposal of this organization to the challenges posed by the new tourist reality that is characterized by digitization, sustainability and harmony between the visitor and the local people.

In addition to that, the event focuses on a new type of more technological and demanding customer who requires information and attention in real time at all stages of the process and who has acquired more and more relevance and greater power in the decision-making process.

Although the work program is still open and under development, work is underway on several thematic blocks of content that will address aspects of interest to the tourist community and in particular to travel agencies.

In addition to the working sessions, the Forum is an excellent showcase to introduce a target audience of opinion such as travel agents, tour operators, representatives of airlines, transport companies and distribution companies to the tourist and cultural resources of the destinations that host the calls.

The final program of the works will include visits to points of tourist interest of reference and it should also be remembered that the brands associated with UNAV have a high prescribing capacity which before the pandemic mobilized almost 10 million people through its various channels.
