Ennismore lifestyle hospitality company, creative group and founder - built brands in partnership with Kasada, a real estate private equity platform have signed the first Hyde hotel in the African continent concretely in Johannesburg, a major city in South Africa.
This opening means Ennismore's first hotel in Johannesburg and Kasada's first investment in the city.
In other areas of South Africa, Kasada acquired Fairmont's Cape Grace in 2022, Pullman Cape Town in 2023, and is developing a Mama Shelter with Ennismore. The Kasada portfolio currently consists of 20 hotels in operation or under construction in seven countries.
The Hyde Hotels brand operates in Bodrum, Dubai, Ibiza, London and Miami with upcoming openings in Perth and Queenstown.
The Hotel is located in the centre of Rosebank, a well-known cosmopolitan commercial and residential suburb in the northern area of the city.
The new Hyde Johannesburg is housed in a mixed-use building and replaces a former accommodation that will be repositioned under the Hyde brand providing 131 rooms including 31 fully equipped suites.
Guests have access to the Proud Mary restaurant, a lounge, meeting rooms 7,400 square meters of coworking spaces and a gym.
