Hilton Hotels & Resorts, well known American multinational hotel company that manages and franchises a large portfolio of hotels, resorts and timeshare properties, has announced plans to open three new hotels in Portugal between 2025 and 2026 under three different brands such as Canopy by Hilton, Double Tree by Hilton and Tapestry Collection by Hilton as part of its expansion in this country.
Hilton's Senior Vice President EMEA Development, Patrick Fitzgibbon commented that last year the number of tourists reached an all-time high in Portugal and with the expectation that the results will continue in this way, the Hilton group will continue to bet on this very attractive market. There is a lot of enthusiasm about the signing of these three new properties that encompass three of the company's world-famous brands.
Hilton's Portuguese portfolio is in the midst of an expansion phase and currently has 20 hotels in operation and under development. Portugal is recognised and regarded as a destination of excellence for how warmly it welcomes tourists, beautiful landscapes and excellent gastronomy, so there is pride in further strengthening the range of options for travellers visiting Portugal.
Following an agreement with Arrow Global Group, the Canopy by Hilton Vilamoura Marina will offer guests a superior boutique hotel experience, highlighting the best of the Algarve.
The opening of the hotel located 500 meters from the beach of Vilamoura near the marina is scheduled for 2026 . The accomodation will provide 155 rooms, a restaurant, bat, Canopy Centric, a spa, a fitness center and a swimming pool.
Santo André Beach Hotel part of Tapestry Collection by Hilton is the result of a signed franchise agreement with the Mercan Properties group, located in the Santiago del Cacém region will be the first Hilton in this area with opening scheduled for 2025.
This hotel boasts a perfect location for guests who want to relax and connect with nature, enjoying unique beaches and landscapes just 200 meters from the Santo André and La Sancha Lagoons Nature Reserve and 500 meters from Santo André beach.
This accommodation will provide 44 rooms, a restaurant, a gym and a swimming pool with a terrace overlooking the sea.
The Double Tree by Hilton Lisboa Airport is part of a franchise agreement with Mercan Properties Group, located just 5 minutes from the International Airport of the capital of Portugal and will open its doors in 2025.
The hotel will offer maximum comfort for both business and leisure travellers, it will provide 199 rooms and 20 suites, a restaurant, bar, dining room, extensive facilities for meetings, events and conventions, a modern fitness room and a large hall for relaxation and revitalization while waiting for a flight or to enjoy during the stay.
