The Atlantic Ring is a new tourist product developed in central Portugal, a complete e-bike experience that highlights the diversity of tourist resources present in this Portuguese territory.
The operations are managed by Portugal A2Z, a company specialized in nature tourism that has designed a circular route made by electric bicycle that connects the Atlantic coast, the eco-route and the e-co roads that cross the valleys of the Mondego, Dão and Vouga rivers and the cities of Coimbra,Viseu and Aveiro.
"Atlantic Ring – Cycling in the river valley and the ocean coast of Portugal" is this new cycle route suitable for all levels and types of users who can enjoy this new product that aims to attract new visitors by discovering the local beauties and above all the areas that were less visited.
This new product has been designed and planned to maximize the positive impact on the local communities of the territories covered with a program that includes a circular route in 7 stages with departure and arrival in the beautiful city of Coimbra.
During this tour cyclists can stay overnight in Coimbra, Aguieira, Viseu, Oliveira de Frades, Angeja, Aveiro and Mira and from these locations have the opportunity to explore other places of historical and natural interest such as Tondela, Sever do Vouga, Penacova, Santa Comba Dão, São Pedro do Sul, Ria de Aveiro, Ilhavo, Costa Nova, Figueira da Foz as well as take advantage of the old railway tracks transformed into greenways in Dão and Voga and the Ecovia de Mondego which was recently inaugurated.
The Atlantic Ring has a basic program of 10 days / 9 nights offering multiple possible combinations with different daily distances and also train transfers that allow shorter durations with for example an itinerary of 8 days / 7 nights and also allowing an extended connection with Porto, the second most important city in Portugal.
