The British group easyJet holidays, the ATOL – protected holidays company which combines easyJet's flexible flight programme, handpicked hotels and best - in class technology with more than 100 destinations across Europe has signed a partnership with the Cilento, geographical area of the region of Campania situated in central and southern part of the province of Salerno and an important tourist territory of southern Italy.
This partnership stems from the new air connections of the British low-cost carrier to the Salerno Costa d' Amalfi Airport located between the municipalities of Bellizzi and Pontecagnano Faiano managed by the Società Gestione Servizi Aeroporti Campani S.p.A.
The Corriere della Sera well known Italian daily newspaper reported that this collaboration agreement sees as protagonist alongside easyJet Holidays, Cilento Autentico DMO.
This Association which has among its purposes the enhancement and enjoyment of cultural and environmental tourism including the enhancement of the historical and monumental sites of Cilento and recognized as a universe heritage by UNESCO and the Mediterranean Diet with the provision of advanced technical and technological services to support companies operating in the territories of the regional tourism system.
This partnership between the British operator and the Campania-based organization provides for the development, inclusion and launch of holiday packages of the travel branch of the United Kingdom company.
The President of Fenailp Turismo and Cilento Autentico DMO Marco Sansiviero commented that this partnership with easyJet Holidays fully hits the goal of the Campania organization making Cilento a reference destination for sustainable, quality tourism in line with international trends.
In a short time there will be visits from other important realities of the travel sector that have already shown great interest in Cilento as a destination.
