Abrecombie & Kent, international, leading luxury and adventure travel company specialising in award winning tailor – made holidays & escorted tours since 1962 plans to open the Kitirua Plains Lodge in Kenya’s Amboseli National Park , a renowned wildlife conservation area, enticing visitors with its stunning rich biodiversity and stunning landscapes and views, overlooked by the immense, iconic, Mount Kilimangiaro, emblematic, dormant stravolcano highlighted by its three volcanic cones, Kibo,Mawenzi and Shira, located in northeastern Tanzania, the highest mountain of the African continent.
Senior Vice President of Marketing Strategy of Abrecombie & Kent Kate Thompson revealed the news and this future opening at the prominent at the ILTM Cannes trade show, the lodge will be located in a great position providing 16 suites and villas offering fantastic views of the Mount Kilimangiaro.
Abrecombie & Kent is very active with investments in lodges, camps and boats, which as part of a recent rebranding operates under the name A&K Sanctuary and Vice President of Marketing Strategy of the company said the group remains on track with plans to rebuild its Gorilla Forest Camp in Uganda set to reopen as the Gorilla Forest Lodge in May, as well as a reconstruction of Baines’s Lodge in Botswana, which is expected to reopen in mid - 2025.
In addition Abrecombie & Kent is expanding its presence in another continent, concretely in South America with its first Amazon River boat in Peru, debuting next summer.
