Marriott International, Inc., renowned American multinational company headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland, group that franchises, operates and licenses lodging brands that include, hotel, residential, and timeshare properties all over the world has signed an agreement with Ashaad Company, real estate developer based in the capital of Saudi Kingdom, Riyadh to develop and open a Sheraton hotel in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, city and governorate in the Eastern Province situated on the coast of the Arabian Gulf and part of the "Triplet Cities" or Damman metropolitan area along with Damman and Dharan forming the residential core of the region.
The hotel will be managed by Aleph Hospitality, the largest independent hotel management company in the Middle East and Africa with tailored - to fit solutions for hotel owners based Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The future opening of the Sheraton Al Khobar Hamra will mark the first Sheraton brand in the city, a distinguished brand that offers mid - to upscale hotel in major cities and resort locations worldwide and it caters to business, leisure and family travel offering a variety of meeting spaces conferences, business facilities and F&b to flexible meeting space with a vision featuring intuitive design and tech – forward experience
The Sheraton Al Khobar Hamra will be located near Al Shbaily Mall, the largest shopping mall in the city, which spans more than 800.000 square metres, ideally located along the eastern coast front of King Fahd Causeway which leads to Bahrain, a striking and unique tourist landmark in the region.
The hotel is scheduled to open in 2028, it is expected to incorporate modern design elements, technology and communal spaces and it will include 580 rooms and suites, three unique culinary concepts, lounges and collaborative spaces, banquet halls, meeting rooms, conference halls, business zones and a party hall and recreational amenities include Spa, a fitness centre and a pool.
The Regional Vice President of Lodging Development at Marriott International, Chadi Hauch expressed excitement about Sheraton's expansion in Saudi Arabia, highlighting that the hotel will reflect Sheraton's new identity while maintaining its essence and legacy and pointing out the growing demand for business and leisure travel in the country's eastern province.
The Chairman of Ashaad Company, Ali bin Mohammed Al Ali said that the agreement with Marriott International and the partner Aleph Hospitality is a significant step in the group commitment to delivering high-quality hotel projects, emphasizing that the new Sheraton Al Khobar Al Hamra will combine creativity and sophistication, meeting the experience of both visitors and residents.
Vice President of KSA at Aleph Hospitality, Tariq Dowidar, expressed enthusiasm and pride in managing he Sheraton Al Khobar Hamra that will be Aleph's third property in collaboration with Marriott International in the Middle East.
